Rotting Minds

My photo project, 'Rotting Minds', was most inspired by one of our class discussions over technology. I was intrigued by the talk over how technology is affecting people, especially the younger generation. I wanted to focus my photographs on how I see technology, specifically Apple products, will affect the minds of children.

I wanted my photos to hold a very symbolic message, whilst also being vibrant and interesting to look at. I feel like this is only the beginning of this theme and topic, and I would love to delve further into it and produce more artwork based around the effects of technology. I also think this is a really good basis for my continuation of the topic.

I enjoyed working with Photoshop as it allowed me to experiment with the overall outcome of my photographs. I was able to enhance the 'rotting' of the apple whilst also maintaining its bright, fruit like form and color.

Flickr was an interesting website to use to showcase my photographs. I like how it laid out the photographs in a very easy, but artistic way. It was an easy website to use that allows users to showcase their artwork clearly.

  3. Cool photos, the white background was a good idea and really makes your subject stand out. The difference in brightness is noticeable in between some of these though, not sure if that was intentional or not.
